    BSODs after PC rebuild: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, CACHE_MANAGER & DRIVER_IRQL

    Hey,

I have recently rebuilt my PC following a suspected viral/malware infection and I've been having stability issues.

I've had problems with this setup in the past, as shown in the link below, but for the month or so before the suspected infection my PC has been fine. SERVICE_EXCEPTION and MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSODs after PC rebuild

I've mostly been getting MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSODs. I've had instances where I can get successive BSODs upon boot up but I can break the cycle by booting into safe mode and back out again. I've even been able to game for a few hours following a particular cycle of MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSODs.

Windows Explorer and Windows Desktop Manager seem to be affected as I'm frequently told that they've stopped working. During one boot-up I did have issues with Microsoft Security Essentials' real-time protection constantly failing despite repeatedly turning it back on. At the same time Windows Firewall turned off and wouldn't start. I got this error message when trying to start it from the Control Panel: 0x8007042c.

I've ran full scans with MSE and Malware Bytes Anti-Malware in safe mode and with Windows Defender Offline by running it from a DVD. All scans came back negative. I ran Windows Error-Checker overnight but I'm not sure of the outcome as when I came back to my PC the next day, it was switched off. When I powered it back up, Windows said it was "Resuming" not "Starting". I then got the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD. My PC auto-restarted following this message. It then got stuck in a cycle where it kept trying to start up but before it got to the point where it could start Windows it kept auto-restarting. I then booted into safe mode to retrieve the dump files. Upon booting up normally I was able to browse the internet for a few minutes before Firefox crashed. I then got the CACHE_MANAGER BSOD.

Before all of these problems, I installed all of the motherboard drivers from the Gigabyte website and I also installed the chipset drivers from the Intel website. I also made sure to get all of the important updates from Windows Update.

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do to either fix this or what to do differently should I delete the Windows 7 installation HDD partition and start again, please?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Please help me!
