BSOD Event 41, Kernel Power

Kernel Power 41 events are a superset, and a BSOD is a subset. A BSOD can cause a Kernel Power 41 event, or may not.

So, there are some BSODs which dont cause this event. Some BSODs cause it, and some of those events are not BSODs. That is the relationship between these two.

The BSOD is caused Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection driver.

Use Revo Uninstall Freeware in Advanced mode to uninstall AVG and all its leftovers. Otherwise the leftovers will cause equal issues there.

Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

I would suggest you to uninstall Juniper WSAM. It is also failing.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall the program at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Let us know the results.

1. It may be. The free version sees only the 32 bit installers. You try the traditional method then, which is recommended by AVG also. Unfortunaqtely, this method may leave leftover files, whih will continue the issue perhaps.

2. Paid MBAM is not a necessary :) The free version is enough efficient on demand scanner. But as you have the paid license, well and good. Use it :)

3. Well, I dont have very sound idea about Juniper. I just noticed that it is causing the BSODs. If it is a must to have, you have to accept the BSODs caused by it :)

Mate I dont know about any other computer. But as you can see, juniper is failing on this particular computer under discussion.

Sorry to say, but if the crasher is present there, it will crash.
