    BBcode 124

    Good morning!

I have spent hours on reading about BBCODE 124, I read multiple topics, posts, I checked lots of websites, and the only thing I came up is.. we all share the same problem, but none of us was able to solve it. BBCODE 124 remains to be a mystery.

Im aware that it is said to be a hardware problem, but let me explain why I consider this rather a software issue.

For years, I have been building PCs by my own, taking care of them etc., and Im not just a random noob, that has no idea what is he doing.

My PC can run hours without errors, I can play games for hours without errors [or at least, without some dangerous ones]. When I kept thinking of BBCODE 124, and analysing it, I noticed it only happen when I play games that are made on Unreal Engine. Americas Army Proving Ground, Red Orchestra 2 + Rising Storm. Out of nowhere everything freeze, sound is looped and sounds like a buzzsaw "bezzzbezzzbezzz" over and over again, only restart helps.

Then, when Windows load I get such thing:

    Podpis problemu:
    Nazwa zdarzenia problemu: BlueScreen
    Wersja systemu operacyjnego: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Identyfikator ustawień regionalnych: 1045

    Dodatkowe informacje o problemie:
    BCCode: 124
    BCP1: 0000000000000000
    BCP2: FFFFFA80082538F8
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

I uploaded mini dump file: 092813-33477-01.dmp - Speedy Share - upload your files here
I cleaned all the radiators, got rid of dust. Made clean system install, and it was okay, but since I keep my Windows up to date I download all the updates, and the BBCODE 124 was back. I downloaded latest drivers [at least I hope they are], but it didnt solve the problem. I have no idea whats wrong!

    My PC:

    Info on my profile.

A BCCode: a0000001 is inherent in ATI/AMD display drivers.

It appears that you are using 13.9 WHQL of the display driver? Uninstall it using AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility. Then apply 13.4 WHQL, from AMD Graphics Drivers & Software.

Is it BSODing in the same way? Let us know.

    Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

    1. Click on the start button
    2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
    3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
    4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
    5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

    Yes, I know.

You have to recover the stop 0xa00001 first, and then you may go for a stop 0x124 troubleshooting. The second one (first post) may occur driven by the first one (second post).

0x124 is a hardware error, GPU is one of the hardware that is to take care at first.

    Time for action now :)

EDIT: asked for msinfo.nfo, as the zipped one in the first post is corrupt.

Is this what I need? AMD Radeon Thats what I have installed now, at the moment.

Nvidia driver selection was pretty quick, and always worked well, but ATI is weird as my card can be foun in different places, therefore.. not sure which driver do I really need.

    /Edit.

I already regreat buying this crap video card, I just downloaded some auto driver finder, and it downloaded some other driver. Im unable to count, how many of this garbade did I already install, not even knowing which is the correct one, I just feel like taking a hammer and smashing that piece of ...

/Edit 2. I had these drivers installed, but I uninstalled them, and installed drivers from the CD included [to make sure I made no mistake]. It finally is showing in the Catalyst Center that I have HD 7790, but Im unsure on their release date, shouldnt be that old, since the card is rather new.

It appears to be right one. Let it run.

Then, upload the MSINFO.nfo as suggested. And take some tests.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

    Stress test the CPU.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.

I RARed it, I never use ZIP. As for me, it is not corrupted it can be extracted.

http://www.speedyshare.com/KezwW/MSINFO32.nfo - prepared it as you requested.

Will update this post later, with more info.

Changing drivers didnt helped, another frezee.

My Graphic Card is brand new, my CPU is nearly brand new, and memory is so new I got it this week. Using the new memory, instead of the old one, made no difference, as the freeze kept happening.

    Temperatures:

1st before playing. 2nd after playing I would say, the most demanding game that I own.

eXtreme Power Supply Calculator: my score 380~ With having 500 PSU.

Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark: 1 hour 4 minutes. Stable 68 C, for the entire test, with 48% of fan usage. No errors or problems.

Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95: Maximum temperature was 72 C, which was stable for entire test. No errors or problems.

HD Tune: No errors or problems.

Test were made, results were added, beside memory, but as I expected everything went fine. I would be glad if someone checked mini dump from the first post [WinRAR], and later added msinfo32.

Stab in the dark here my friend as I am no good with the files stuff but have you tested the PSU?
    PSU - Jump Start

Voltage Rails - Power Supply 101: A Reference Of Specifications

test all the leads and check out the Power_Good at pin 8 (grey cable) it should be between 2,4 - 6v if this fluctuates then it will reset the machine or less than 2.4v not even start it.

Please take great care when doing this not to short the other colour cables / pins to the blacks and do not attempt to do anything with the PSU itself.

Now keep in mind that correct volts does not mean correct current it needs an ammeter to measure that .
