    Spontaneous BSOD

I had been having this problem a few months back, but it was fixed by defragmenting the hard drive. I don't think that was a permanent fix, however, because my computer BSOD'ed about ten minutes ago for no known reason. I've read that the "deaddead" code means it was a manual shutdown, but I didn't press the scroll lock key to initiate it. I have a Sony Vaio S series running Windows 7.

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: deaddead
    BCP1: 000000000F000101
    BCP2: 0000000001A700AC
    BCP3: 0000000012A70000
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\102213-26738-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Alice\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-45115-0.sysdata.xml

    Hi alrosalie.

Theoretically a BugCheck DEADDEAD is MANUALLY_INITIATED_CRASH1. This indicates that the user deliberately initiated a crash dump from either the kernel debugger or the keyboard.

But in this case it appears that the network drivers are somehow involved with the BSOD.

Download and install Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7 which works for your Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 623.

Also, update the touchpad driver from Drivers | Synaptics. Make it sure that the touchpad and the keyboard is properly working.

Then let us know how the computer is running.
