Could solve just by uninstalling the new software!
Hi,
My laptop lenovo T5300 with Win7 Ultimate (32 bit) was pretty ok and had both firefox and chrome.
But my DVD drive is having issues and it just doesn't detect all ( with some, it works fine). So it install a new s/w, I used a portable DVD drive. Software was authentic and a simple one ( to write in Indian languages with regular key-board)
BSOD started. Booting was fine. If I just browse it was ok, most of the time!. But if I open 3-4 documents together, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with win32k.sys crashes started. Code was 0x00000050.
I even removed Firefox completely because I saw Firefox/nss3.dll message for unrelated applications. Made chrome as default browser.
Checked for all expert looks. Nobody agreed that it was due to external DVD drive installation. Ultimate suggestion was REINSTALL because it is OS issue!
But I had a strong feeling about drivers of my laptop. Once I updated my mobile phone drivers and after that mobile phone is invisible for laptop.
As a final try, I just removed the new s/w (external drive installed) and the problem was solved.
What is the cause?
So I want to make my laptop robust for all external devices/drivers. Any clues?
