Browse to C:\Windows\Fonts, and delete the fonts those you have lately installed before the BSODs started to occur (the earliest BSOD is of 13/10 as per the zip you supplied).

If you cannot access to the fonts folder in normal mode, try in safe mode.

Then rebuild the font cache. Go to C:\Windows\System32\ and delete the "Fntcache.dat" file there. Then restart the computer. On restart, a fresh font cache will be built.

After doing all those, let us know how the computer is running.

Each time I click on the fonts file in both normal and safe mode...it shuts down!
As far as I am aware I have not installed any new fonts

That means, your fonts got corrupt. But as you are saying that you havent installed any new fonts, the situation becomes critical.

First, rebuild the font cache as suggested in my earlier post.

Then Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If it fails, or you cannot boot into your desktop, try SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

Now try to use the computer normally. Let us know the result .... if it is just the same as earlier or not.

If I am unable to delete it in normal mode, can I delete the file in safe mode?

Hmm ... it looks like it is tried to open with something else. The icon should be the default one, not anything else.

Anyway, it is the same one...... delete it, then restart the computer. When restarted, do SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Report the situation back.
