Also, the most recent restore point available is 10/15/2013 and this was a "critical update" from Windows. I had an even more recent restore date that was a "System" Automatic restore, but it was deleted when my first restore attempt failed.
A "restore restore" succeeds succesfully or rollbacks automatically. There's no such thing as a half rollback. But that's theory.

If restore point of 10/15/2013 is gone you can't restore to 10/15/2013 . But also not to 10/10/2013 for example, but that's actually a rollback to 10/15/2013 and then rollback to 10/10/2013. Why is system restore corrupted. Why did it delete a restore point. Very strange...we'll never know.

You have win7 install dvd? You have a valid win7 install key (see COA sticker on back of laptop). Maybe under battery? Maybe we need it later

If it was in hibernate state it reloads all stuff that was in memory from harddisk. After that it lets you logon. Now you see all applications that were running when you closed the lid. Is that what normally happens. Do you see somthing like "resuming windows" normally?
Yes, after I close the lid and want to resume working on my computer that is what my computer does after pressing the power button. (As far as I can recall.)

I'll try to input the text command prompt you requested and post it in a minute.

I still have the 10/15 restore point, but it deleted the 10/17 (?) or 10/18 restore point. I then tried a 9/22 restore point and 9/24 restore point, and they both failed and were deleted.

I do have the Windows 7 Product Key on the bottom of my laptop. I don't have disks since Win 7 was pre-installed on my laptop when I purchased it.

Still working on the txt prompt.

In case you have to reinstall (I don't hope) Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 U (media refresh)X17-58997.iso

Burn it using Burn a CD or DVD from an ISO file
    or use imgburn.

SFC not working...strange. system restore acts very strange. I gonna investigate the packages txt file

You have tried all the usual startup repair and diagnostics stuff. You have very important stuff on disk? You have backup? You have external disk to make a backup?
