Recent random BSOD
This is a custom built computer I've had without any BSOD problems for around 2 years now. I've only had a power supplies fail on me so far. Recently, I've been starting to get frequent BSODs. About two weeks ago I had a problem where my computer would just freeze for basically 10 seconds, then continue. Then I would occasionally get freezes where I would need to restart. I also could not wake up from "sleep mode" using both my mouse and keyboard to no avail. When I logged on again, it would say I had a Blue Screen of Death. Afterwords, I system restored my computer, and it worked until now. Just now, I've had my first BSOD since around a week. It seems to be related to my hard drive, but I'm not too sure.
I've done disk checks and "sfc /scannow", both of which did not find a problem. I also downloaded "Crystal Disk Info", which also said my hard drive was in "Good" condition. Apparently my "Power on Hours" is around 8000 hours, so is my hard drive getting too old? I've scanned with Spybot S&D, Malware Anti-malware bytes, and Avast (all up to date) - They did not find anything. |
