Getting frequent BSOD

Hi Cl3m,

Sorry missed your latest message. Did you remove the chrome from rev uninstaller. Kindly run the scan for virus or malware using MSE and check the system thoroughly.

Then run SFC SCAN to ensure all files are intact:

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

After that you can try reinstalling chrome on the system and check the results:

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Malwarebytes didn't found any malware

SFC /scannow neither (after 3 attempts)

EDIT : I finally got MSE performing the full scan. Nothing detected

The problem seems to be fixed concerning the BSOD's. But it looks like Chrome is making my computer overheat while firefox does not.

Is there anyway to fix this new problem ?

EDIT : spoke too fast, still getting BSOD's when Chrome is installed (even if when I'm not using it)

Hi Cl3m,

Seems like you are confused about the situation with the system. I would advise to remove chrome completely from the system and then monitor the system for BSOD.

If BSOD occurs then kindly post the new dump file so we can analyse the same. If it doesn't occur then we can troubleshoot further accordingly.

To sum up :

- No BSOD's when Chrome isn't installed (tested during a full day)
- BSOD's when Chrome is installed no matter it is running or not

Thanks for the update. Do we need to have chrome installed on the system or you can use the other alternatives available as well like Firefox,Opera and IE.

If you need the chrome to be installed you should try checking it with a older version of it as well to check:
