Good news and bad news. I did allot of things (virus scan, updates, browsing) without bsod since new ram. However after completing the update it told me to restart. I did, and it configured the registry, and right after it rebooted again (like always) but suddenly my BIOS won't detect the main hard drive anymore! The second one is fine (and I have most backups since the reinstall action there) but I do have some stuff on my primary disk too and it's a bit problematic… I checked sata and changed the cable too but no avail. I have a feeling the virus scan stressed it too much but until now the drive was working PERFECTLY! I am really confused right now :| Please help, I really appreciate it

What a disaster. I took my hd and put it in a External Harddive bay, but it's SATA to USB controller was faulty and, well it burned my disk. Only the controller but still, what a disaster. I won't reply for awhile and if I'm able to install windows on a new hard drive with no blue screens and stupid ill marks s solved.

What a long thread. I think i've fixed my problem! Since RAM change no BSODs. As for the HDD it doesn't really matter much anymore. I installed Windows on the secondary disk.
As for the dumps problem, I found that if you perform Windows Easy Transfer with settings from a good computer, It generates dumps. Thank you very very much arc for all the effort and time for me! I really appreciate your help, thread SOLVED ![]() |
