BSOD watching livestreams on Twitch.tv, error 0x00000124

Hi, I will list all of the information I have. If you need any more please let me know.

I blue-screen while watching Twitch.tv live-streams, or when I leave the computer unattended for a length of time. I (think) I have installed and updated all of my drivers.

I have ran stress tests on my CPU, RAM, and GPU with Prime95(4 hours passed on small-large-blend), Furmark(4 hours passed), and Memtest(passed for 48 hours). All having good temp readings.

I also get a LOT of errors and failed installs on my windows updates. And I have tried re-installing windows several times. I come here on a last leg.

I am Quite computer savvy(A+, Net+, and win 7 cert), but this has thrown me in a circle.

Any and all help will be welcome.
I have uploaded my dump files.

    Hi p00ned4dis, welcome :) .
A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. - H2SO4
The bug checks are consistent on failing to read from the L1 cache,
which more often than not spells a faulty CPU other possibilities are the motherboard / PSU.
Has anything changed / happened before you started getting the bug checks?
Since you already tested the hardware, do you have another system you can test with?

    I am interested in the Voltage readings;

    • Download HWinfo and post a Screenshot of the sensors window, one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side and Furmark for the GPU.
      • Before running Prime95 make sure to enable Round-off checking (see 1st post under the tutorial).

What is the make, model and age of your PSU?
Fill out this form and post back the result:

Good practice, open up the case and re-seat all types of connection.

    • SATA Cables (HDD/SSD/ODD).
    • SATA-Power.
    • Motherboard 24-pin.
    • Motherboard 4/8-pin (CPU).
    • Re-seat the RAM.
    • Re-seat the GPU.

Make sure that every slot / cable head is free of dust or other obstruction.
Make sure that every connection is seating properly and firmly in-place.

Reset the BIOS back to default:

       Note
Write down the current value of the SATA Mode!
    Its either AHCI or IDE.
After resetting the CMOS go back and verify the value for SATA Mode is what it was
    when the OS was installed.

       Note
If any component is overclocked reset it back to stock speeds!

    Update the BIOS:
       Warning
Flashing the BIOS is a risky procedure. If you are uncomfortable
performing it yourself have a technician perform it for you.
Regardless, flashing is at your own risk.

    Attachment 294739

Post back with the results :) .

    Good places to read more:

Here is the screenshots you have asked for.

I do not have another system to test my CPU on. But i have replaced my motherboard, ram, and HDD already thinking they might have been the problem. So now i'm down to Power supply, CPU, and GPU.

I also want to note that this motherboard is stock settings, and has never been flashed. I can flash the update. But I will wait until you reply to do so.

My PSU is: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W -- as seen here "http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341018"

    The files are labeled as Noload 1 & 2 -- Load 1 & 2 accordingly.
The load files are running Fur and Prime95 at the same time.

Thanks for the update :) .

The Voltages and temperatures are all with in 'spec, now you said it usually bug checks while watching
live streams on twitch which got me thinking and I found out that you're using a USB Wireless adapter
and its driver is extremely old!
    Code:
    lmvm netr28ux
    start end module name
    fffff880`054dc000 fffff880`055b8000 netr28ux (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\netr28ux.sys
        Image name: netr28ux.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Mar 03 08:24:25 2009
Please remove it from the system and refrain from using it for trouble shooting purposes.

Before using the Ethernet connection, please make sure you're using the latest version.

No code has to be inserted here.

Also you're still on 7600, please update to SP1.

Please remove Norton for trouble shooting purposes as the fltmgr.sys & Ntfs.sys were pretty active
in some dumps and A/V software takes advantage of these.

Post back with the results :) .

Hi, I want to thank you SO MUCH for trying to help me. It means a lot and I appreciate your time!

I have done all that you said. The driver was removed, Ethernet updated. But when I go to Windows Update, EVERYTHING fails. My computer has done this for MONTHS and I have just put it off. But I am now backed into a corner where this needs fixed.

If its my Processor that needs replaced, I am more than willing to buy a new one. Black friday is coming up afterall. And L1 cache errors seem to make the most sense.

I disabled norton. Not removed. If you want me to remove it completely I can. But my job forces me to have it(I work from home).

    It's my pleasure :) .
It's not as bad it might seem at first I see the same six updates failing so it's as if all of the updates
are failing, unless they are listed further down?

SP1 will probably have those already included have you tried to install it as suggested above (with links)?

Woops I'm not sure where I must have looked at a different msinfo32 by accident, sorry!.
In that case you can follow these two links to try and troubleshoot the issue.

By the way have you had any more bug checks since we started troubleshooting?

I have not had any bugchecks because I have stayed away from streams/heavy use for a while on this computer.

But I have tried what you asked, and it told me to install/recheck windows update. I have done this and the windows updates are still failing.

Well that is not a good test of progress, please use the PC you the way you have.
I found this link that addresses that issue - Windows Update error 8024200d
