Getting random bsod's with error 0x0000007a (Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error)
Hello everyone,
(First of all, I'm using a laptop MSI gt780-205fr bought in October 2011 so it is no longer under warranty.)
A few months ago, I got a lot of random Bsod with error 0x0000007a and kernel_data_inpage_error. Also, my laptop couldn't create minidumps as it showed the error : Physical memory dump failed with status 0xc000009c or 0xc0000010. About that, I already tried to apply the settings so windows could create those minidumps with no results.
After trying chkdsk and memory tests (with memtest86+), I decided to reinstall windows 7 and after that I didn't get any Bsod or problems for 4 months and I thought my problem was solved.
But you guessed it : it happened again a few days ago. Same errors, same problems : the laptop freezes for a few seconds, and crashes whatever I'm doing. As I said, it seems to be completely random : I can play for hours without getting any errors then it crashes when i'm looking a video on the internet. Sometimes I don't have errors for 2 days and then get 3 in an hour !
I tried chkdsk again and found an error that was repaired but that didn't solve my problem. I also did another memtest with 3 passes : no result. Also, my drivers seem to be up to date.
It's really a shame that I can't join the minidump files with this thread as it seems to be really helpful to solve that kind of problems.
I already saw by googling the error codes that some people had the same problem but I never found any other solution than checking the hard disk or perform a memtest... Did anyone here had the same problems and managed to solve them without the help of minidump files ? A lot of people seemed to think those errors where related to a hardware problem, anyone could confirm this ?
Thanks for your help and patience, I hope you'll be able to help me.
