While it was running memory test? Or you haven't started that yet?

Re-run the BSOD utility and be sure to click on the Grab All. Resubmit (upload) the new zipped file. I'll be away from the PC for a few hours but I'll see if it shows anything different.

Ya no, it wasnt performing memory test: I just went downstairs to heat some tea and when I came back, it displayed the now familiar: "windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down"

    Thanks-

I've got a few things you need to do so we can get your system into a manageable diagnostic state.

    1. Click the Start (Orb) and type msconfig in the Search box. Click on msconfig.exe.
Click on the Startup tab. In the window there's a list of applications. Uncheck all the boxes EXCEPT Microsoft Security Essentials. Click Apply then OK.

    2. Reboot the PC into Safe Mode with networking. (Press F8 key after the logo screen, select Safe Mode with networking.)

    3. Down load and install Malwarebytes Antimalware free version. Don't click on the trial or activate buttons. Update it and run a full scan on all your disk drives.

    4. Run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt (Run as Administrator).

    5. Reboot the PC. Continue using the PC (without startups) until you get another BSOD. If/when you do, upload the files again and STOP here.

    ______

6 If you run for a day or two without a BSOD, run msconfig and activate a single application in the Start Up tab by checking the box/boxes for that app (some have multiples), click Apply then OK. Reboot and continue using the PC. If the PC remains stable, continue this process for a single application at a time.

    BSOD again

*update, got another BSOD tonight. I was just on the internet and clicked a link in my class website. It stated "waiting for cache" at the bottom, I clicked again, then I checked the link on another computer and worked fine, then it BSOD'd. It wouldnt startup just said something like "no operating system found, reboot and try again" so I went into BIOS and my SSD wasnt even in the boot drives...Anyway, found it, started it, and here I am. Gosh it's like when you have the hiccups and you think they are gone...and then they come back. I appreciate the help, thanks.

It appears your SSD may be full of deleted files. You're running it under SATA type IDE. For Windows to issue TRIM commands that clean up deleted files on a SSD, you MUST use SATA type AHCI. Follow this tutorial EXACTLY to implement AHCI.

Once you've done that and after the final reboot of that process, close all open windows, gadgets, gidgets and whatever and let the system idle for a couple of hours. (Reset sleep and hibernate options to allow this.) The screen saver is ok but not sleep. Windows should start issuing TRIM commands right away. Once you have finished this step, go to the step below.

Reboot the PC into BIOS mode and let the PC sit for about half an hour undisturbed. This should allow the drive's Garbage Collection to run and open free areas. After about half an hour, complete the boot.

right now I remember how this went down when I installed my OS... So I followed the tutorial exactly and all was going well. however after my final restart It wont boot, the pc reset the bios and couldnt find my SSD drive (with the OS), so i tinkered with the settings. I have two selections one for ports 1-4 (SSD is on sata port 1), in which i can choose RAID, IDE or AHCI, after choosing AHCI, it cant find the SSD, if I choose RAID it crashes when starting windows. So no matter what i choose it either a)AHCI: it wont start windows and keeps crashing, or b) with AHCI displays black scrren after asus: "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". or c) just pick IDE and continue with random BSOD.
