BSOD on Asus laptop

It appears that all your PnP devices are not working all together. It is most possible a bad hardware issue, probably the motherboard got corrupted.

Before blaming the motherboard, try a couple of things, one by one:

• Try to install the chipset drivers and other once again.
• Try a power cycle to the computer.
• Try to perform a clean reinstall.

If even the clean reinstall fail to fix this issue, it is a corrupt motherboard for sure.

The same thing happened to my earlier board. All USB/PS2 and other ports failed to work, all together and all of a sudden. No fix worked. Sent the board to intel to fix it, and they in turn returned me a new packed box of the board. They also failed to fix and game me a replacement.

You were instructed to alter two drivers only, the XHCI one and the charger driver. There were in wrong in that suggestion, as the charger one is a problem creator glorious extra. You will not loss anything without it. And XHCI should keep up to date. So following the instructions may not be the cause of the worst issue, I can assure you.

You know that the BSODs were taking place when the computer was changing the power state. Such a BSOD can cause this blunder itself. One chip or IC may get damaged due to it.

And, it occurred for me to, as i am saying you. It occurred all of a sudden. I first found my mouse is not working, then lost all PnP one by one within a few seconds.

A clean install will erase everything on the C drive. If you have important stuff stored there, save them to any other partition.

Power Cycle: Disconnect the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds so that the computer releases all the residual power stored.

Clean reinstall: Follow it: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
The necessary drivers after installing windows are already acquired in first step. So, the original CDs are not any necessary, as it contains these drivers only, possibly some older versions.
Follow the instructions of the guide. Make your installation driver complete as said there. Then it will acquire all the necessary drivers by itself via windows updates.

The network adapter is also not working, that is the point of my concentration actually. Whatever you may do with the other drivers, the network driver should not be affected. It is only possible either some registry corruption or some more fatal corruption, I mean motherboard corruption. The most logical rational that I can say you is the nature of your BSOD. DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, BugCheck 9F. That failure is fatal depending on your hybernation settings, and such a power transition failure may in turn may corrupt some chips or ICs on the board, due to the power fluctuation caused by the BSOD.

A clean reinstall may narrow the situation down. If it makes all the hardware and devices working again, it is some registry error or driver corruption only (as you noted in post #14, error code 39). That will be the best for you.

But if the situation is still the same even after a clean reinstall, it is the hardware/motherboard issue for sure.
