Honestly I am a little stumped at to why that option is not displaying what it should.
Can you tell me a little more about your PC, did you build it yourself? Or is it pre-built? If it is pre-built what is the brand and model number?
If it's a Dell or something then that could be one of the reasons you can't change it, they often lock out certain features in the bios.

Voltages are different on those dimms, did you try clearing your cmos and starting fresh with optimized settings? With both of the new dimms in place in slot 1 and 3.

Paul, where can I find that info? It's a prebuilt gaming PC I bought about 6 years ago for a grand. It's a nvidia systemax SYX as far as the cover has to say.
Cranky, I don't know where the jumper is to reset it? I've never cleared cmos before, just googled it.

Under the camera flash is just the battery, and three water tower type metal things next to it.
And that silver power button on the all the way right just turns the PC on and off, not sure if that's the jumper.

If it don't say anything like dell or hp on the case then forget what I put.
Regarding what cranky put, there should be an option in the BIOS to load optimized defaults, usually once in the BIOS it is a key like F5.
Another way to clear it is to pull the battery from the motherboard for a min or 2.
Edit: But be warned that when you do that you will need to set all the settings to what you want. It might be worth making a note of how they are before you do it.
