Windows 7: BSOD upon coming out of sleep.

BSOD upon coming out of sleep.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time that I have had a BSOD when getting my system out of sleep mode.
When it happens there is no warning. Everything is starting up and loading so the system is bogged down; not very responsive. Other than that, there is nothing that would indicate the immanence of a BSOD.

I should mention I have a lot of processes loading up in the tray area. I just started removing some of these so that they don't automatically load upon startup.

It seems that this last time, my computer was in sleep mode but it must have restarted sometime during the night because when I brought it out of Sleep Mode it started loading processes, which it only does upon Startup from having been off.

I've uploaded an SF Diagnostic zip file.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Terse.

The BSODs are caused by FiiO USB DAC-E17 audio device.
BugCheck FE, {4, fffffa800a640c60, fffffa800a640ba0, fffffa80070a8010}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for FiioE17.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for FiioE17.sys

Probably caused by : FiioE17.sys ( FiioE17+1d21 )

Followup: MachineOwner
And the driver is somehow old.
fffff880`06e66000 fffff880`06e73a80 FiioE17 T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: FiioE17.sys
    Image path: FiioE17.sys
    Image name: FiioE17.sys
    Timestamp: Mon Nov 26 11:34:54 2012 (50B30686)

So either update the driver (unfortunately I dont know the source, so I cannot suggest. Probably you know, as you use it) or remove the device, at least as a test.

Let us know the results.

Thanks Arc

I am a newb. I didn't know how to parse that information dump.

Thanks a lot. I recently added the Fiio to my system, but I usually power it up after turning everything on.
Given that it is an DAC, I don't want to damage it or the speakers upon sudden startup.

This makes a lot of sense.

Thanks, again.
