Frequent BSOD even with fresh install and hardware check...
Hi everyone,
My mom's pc, that I've build, is having serious issues. The frequence of BSOD's was almost one every hours...
So I've decided first to format and install Win 7 x64 ultimate, then I installed the up to date drivers (Lan, sound, chipset, gpu, webcam...) some were installed via the windows update manager. I've installed the USB 3.0 driver recommended on the Asus website, which is a Nec usb 3.0 controller... . BSOD's were still happening so I've decided to check the Ram, using memtest, I did 4 passes with no errors. Then I tested the CPU and GPU (the integrated one, as I've noticed that without the GPU on the PCI-E slot, BSOD's were less frequent) using OCCT for one hour on both with no errors... In the end I've uninstalled the USB 3.0 driver, as apparently it was also causing BSOD's.
I don't know how to check the other hardware such as : disks, the power supply (I changed it recently), and the motherboard itself. I am now wondering whether it is an hardware or software issue, that's why I'm posting here.
Before I attach the SF diagnostif folder, here are the specs of my pc:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition (no o/c)
GPU: integrated: AMD HD4250, and the one on the PCI-E a HD5850
MB: Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2*2GB 1600Mhz
Hard drives : main : WD Caviar Black 500GB secondary : Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB
Power supply : Antec HCG 520W
If you could help me, I would appreciate it, thanks!
