    ntoskrnl.exe windows 7

Hello all! my computer is now 3 years old with several revamps on it, most noticeable RAM increasing and video card replacement (from geforce 8400gs to geforce gt610). The first year I had no trouble with it, however since the first RAM increase (1st slot a new corsair 2gb ddr3 and 2nd slot my old markvision 2gb ddr3)the BSOD began appearing, mostly randomly. When I increased again (1st slot a new samsung 4gb ddr3, 2nd slot the corsair and the 3d slot the old markvision) it began happening more often.

For a couple of months it worked normal, the only exception where the BSOD but as I was in University I couldn't afford send it to maintenance. Then the old markvision RAM stopped working. I just removed it and kept working. Now 3 months ago the BSOD became daily. while I was playing video games or working on photoshop, illustrator and so on.

Then a month ago it start happening whenever I turned on my pc. Shortly after my hard drive went bonkers and had it replaced among with my old video card. The new hard drive worked fine and so does the new video card, however the BSOD persisted, even though the OS was reinstalled. A week ago the new hard drive went bananas again and had it replaced by warranty, this time most of my files got lost. I've recieved my pc 3 days ago and the goddam BSOD keeps happening.

    TL : DR

I used bluescreenview and the common thing amongst the BSOD is the ntoskrnl.exe error. It always happens when I turn on my pc, not when I restart and sometimes when It hibernates but mostly when I turn it on.

I've uninstalled avast and replaced it with microsoft security essentials. I've run memtest to check my RAM and the RAM slots and nothing wrong came with it. i've run chkdsk and nothing. the os has been replaced 3 times and the BSOD keeps happening. I'm really on my nerves here because this is my study and work tool, everything works fine with my pc except that and I know it's not a good sign, If someone could help me that would be amazing.

    Welcome to SF lguerrero0211 :) .

I see you have a mised match of RAM modules please start by removing the 2GB and see
how the system holds itself together/

    Code:

      Part Number M379B5273CH0-CH9
Next it's strange that the HDD's will just die like that, What is the make, model and age of your PSU?

    Test for thermals and stability:

    • Download HWinfo and post a Screenshot of the sensors window, one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side and Furmark for the GPU.
      • Before running Prime95 make sure to enable Round-off checking (see 1st post under the tutorial).

         Note
It is not mandatory to run both tests simultaneously, although possible as long as the temperatures are under constant monitoring.

    Post back with the results.

ok so the problem might be the miss matched RAM modules, I just retired the 2gb RAM and the pc started well, no BSOD or any other problem. And now that I think about it, the BSOD started back when I increased the RAM memory for the first time.

Anyway I'll keep updating if there's any other trouble before marking this as solved, just in case. I just have another question, how do I know the part number of new RAM modules before buying them? I kinda need a good amount of RAM and I don't want to take risks inserting another miss matched modules.

Thank you so much for your help you have no idea how relieved I am :)

    Hi grate news :) .

The specific RAM part numbers were saved along with the dump files, because the your motherboard
BIOS supports SMBIOS, so I was able to dig up the information using the !sysinfo smbios extension.
You can read more about System Management BIOS here & here.

In your case you can simply physically look at the modules themselves or look at the SPD section
under the RAM section using Speccy.

This should give you a better as to what your particular motherboard supports where it comes to RAM.
    Memory
    • Four 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
    • Support for DDR3 1333 / 1066 MHz DIMMs
    • Support for up to 16 GB of system memory
