Computer crashing can't figure out how to create crash dump.

I am very new to computer as I never really had a computer issue before.

I had this laptop for about 3 years now "http://www.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vaio-vpcf126fm-b/4505-3121_7-34121949.html" and about 2 years ago my computer crashed and received a Hard-Drive failure is prominent please back up your disk. I never had any issues after that, my laptop would start up with that message and I would press F1 to skip the message and normally boot and and play my games and whatever. About 2 months ago, my computer started to crash every-time I play a game, League of Legends, Aura Kingdom, Runes of Magics... etc.

So about a month ago I opened up my laptop thinking that the computer was overheating so I cleaned out the fans and applied new thermal paste, and it stop crashing. Now it starts to crash again and I want to try to figure out how to create a crash dump and see why my laptop only crashes when I play games, I can watch anime 24/7 and it would not crash but only when I play a graphic intensive game. I want to try to create a crash dump and upload to the forums so someone can try to help me but I'm not really that smart when it comes to computers so I didn't really understand this guide "https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html"

I click properties on my computer and went to advance and set it to create kernal memory dump, then I booted up my game and my computer crashed. But I can't figure out how to get the file, I tried using the SF diagnostic toool but I'm clueless.

I'm not sure if my computer blue screens thought, the screen turns black and it turns off, when I boot it back up the only msg it has it the same message I've been having for years which is Hard-drive is failing back up your disk, press f1 to continue.

Well Saber from the very last comment you made I would be seriously thinking of replacing that drive mate and ASAP.
this is a good way Imaging with free Macrium

and there is this MACRIUM REFLECT - Create Bootable Rescue USB Drive

You could even clone (Macrium will do that) it to a drive that is of at least equal size or larger but any problems and they will transfer with it of course.

An extreme alternative is Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then you need to reinstall all the backed up programs but it will get rid of the bloatware.

I don't really need to create a backup of it because I reinstalled clean window 7 many time, I just want to know how to create a crash dump to figure out why my computer only crashes when I play a game, is it the hard-drive, is it the graphic card, or is it simply just overheating when playing the games? I'm not too sure if it's the hard-drive because I had that message for about 2 years and only about 2 months ago have I started to crash when I was playing my games.

The easiest way to configure your system to create a crash dump is to scroll down to option two and use the .reg file in number 2 to create a small memory dump,

Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

Then follow steps 5 through 9.

    5. Click on Save, and save the .reg file to the desktop.

    6. Double click on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

    7. When prompted, click on Run, Yes (UAC-Windows 7) or Continue (UAC-Vista), Yes, and OK to approve merging the .reg file.

    8. Restart the computer to apply.

    9. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

Derek's beaten me to it so go that way mate but I would still be wary of that drive.

For the heating query just rub Speccy Speccy - Download it will give you the temps of the gear inside and also provide us with system specs if needed.
