    BSOD while browsing and general use


    Been getting a lot of BSODs all while general use (browsing the internet, using word processing, watching videos) usually I can get back into windows right away, but sometimes I face multiple BSODs when trying to boot back up.
    Usually the error given is Memory Management with code 0x0000001A but some times I get a IRQL Less than equal, I ran memtest86 for 9 passes with no errors as well as check dsk a few times also with no errors. This laptop has been sent in to MSI, (Its a MSI GE70 with a 660M GFX card) but being who they are, even with all the info I gave them about the BSODs all they did was reformat, reinstall windows and updated the bios. SF Diagnostic zip is attached. Thanks in advance, would like to know if it is indeed a hardware issue.

    Hi Restivethought, I have a few questions if I may.

    Since you received the laptop back from MSI, how long did you wait until you reinstalled
    your usual software?
    I'm asking because many of the BSOD's appear to have been caused by Sftfslh.sys.
    The second reoccurring drivers are network related and lastly filters usually used by security
    oriented software i.e. Anti-Virus and Firewalls.

    I recommend starting from scratch with a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 and working our way up
    from there while taking manageable steps in installing 3rd party software thus determining
    the cause of the BSOD's will be much much simpler, what is your take on it?

    I installed Google Chrome right away and outside of the software that comes standard, I really didn't install many new items for a week or two after I got it back. I actually marveled at the condition I received the laptop back, as there were actually screws missing. After complaining they wanted me to spend another 50+ dollars to ship it back out to them which in turn they would of probably just reformatted it again and I did not have the patience for it. Are the network driver related BSODs the wifi drivers or the LAN Drivers, maybe I could update/clear and re-obtain them. A full OEM reformat would hopefully be my last choice as I don't have a valid Windows 7 license on hand. Anti Spyware wise, I use AVG but have Security Essentials installed but not active. I installed Security Essentials today after the most recent BSODs I posted.

    I'm overall hoping it actually is a HDD or Memory hardware issue as I could easily replace those, but would like to know for sure before I spend the cash.

    You should have an OEM sticker at the bottom of the PC, did the PC come with Windows 7?
