    BSOD ASUS K53 stop code: 0XA, while using Firefox 26.0

    Here is the link of the SF zip file containing the information you need. It started in October, 2013. I just got another today 1/4/2014. I need help. I have tried to tackle this on my own with no luck. I need to prevent my ASUS laptop from ...eh-hem..."sleeping with the fishes!"

    All help is appreciated!

    Thanks:):)

    Hi shangbaby.

    All you latest BSODs are identically same.
    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck A, {0, 2, 0, fffff800030dce52}

    Probably caused by : dxgmms1.sys ( dxgmms1!VidMmiProcessTerminationCommand+5f )

    So apparently it seems to be a display related error. Download and install Intel® HD graphics Driver for Windows 7.

    Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

    Plan to update the BIOS to the version Version 221. It is somehow needed. Your existing version is 209.
    But dont attempt to do it yourself if you dont have the knowledge about it. Take the help of anybody who can do it. An improper update will be fatal.

    You have a lot of factory bloatware installed over years.

    • Start Menu\Programs\ASUS
    • Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\ASUS Splendid Utility
    • Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\FaceLogon
    • Start Menu\Programs\ASUS Utility

    These are often troublesome. I'd recommend you to Clean Up Factory Bloatware, with a special reference to Point #13
    13. Consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is often better than getting a new computer considering how pre-installed bloatware can corrupt Windows 7 even if it's completely cleaned up.
