    BSOD randomly while using PC

    Hi there!

Hope someone can help me on this. I have been having this problem quite sometime back. Once in a while I will receive a BSOD (not often) and usually states that atikdmag is the problem.

I don't know if this is related but I also have been having terrible booting up problems. Whenever I boot up my PC, there's this weird cycling sounds and beeps and the pc does not load (note: it boots - the pc is ON - but the screen is blank). I have to restart over and over again - somtimes 5-8 times- and then it will finally go to windows screen.

Might or might have to do with the BSOD so I am posting here in one thread. Forgive me if its the wrong place to post. Fist-time :)

    Hi rahl2k.

Update your ATI/AMD display driver to the latest WHQL.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.
