    Help with bsod,think It's a hardware failure

Hello to all.I have got a problem with my computer. In november I cleaned it and I accidentally put an usb port in the mobo upside down, and since this my computer started to gave me lots of bsod.

Trying to fix this problem I have analyzed the crash dumps with windbg, and always said VISTA_DRIVER_FAULT.
I don't know what component is failing, but since the 1 of this month I have installed a linux distro, and sometimes freeze.Seeing to the syslog (Something like Event Viewer, for who doesn't know very well linux),I have seen that in every crash, the nouveau driver (nvidia open source driver for linux) is involved,so I think is the Graphics Card.I have seen some Nvidia drivers bsod in WinDbg.

Another thing to say is that chrome sometimes says "Something was wrong while displaying this page..." and also sometimes the screen goes black some seconds and say after "The Window Manager has unexceptedly closed"

Here are some minidumps,If you want I will upload the latest MEMORY.DMP,that is dated yesterday, but it occupy about 800MB

    Hi ercarlitosg.

In order to be certain about a hardware error, post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions. Because we need to see some things about your storage environment, and the display environment.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .
The computer seems to be aged ... 4/5 years more or less. Having the latest available BIOS (v 1106) installed. So some restrictions in troubleshooting is already imposed there.

If you have a GPU below 700 series, Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.

    • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
      • 3D Vision Control Driver
      • 3D Vision Driver
      • Graphics Driver
      • HD Audio Driver
      • PhysX
      • nvidia Update

(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
    • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
    • Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Also, follow it: How to Uninstall WinDriver - Jungo Connectivity Ltd

Let us know the results, obviously following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

This one is exceptionally cold compared to the computers of same age. Seems that you do a regular maintenance.

No, you need not to install th eaudio driver.

Let us know how it is running after doing those. I guess some other new things will come up after these ones are minimized.

    WOW,the bsods have dissapeared.Thanks.

It was the NVIDIA drivers,on Linux occurs the same with olds graphics cards,so this explain the random freezes on linux

Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.
