    Hello Again, Arc...

FYI, I found an excellent tutorial on how to roll back the driver on the nVidia site, followed instructions, and it worked. Since then, no more BSOD...but it's only 24 hours or so.

    For now, it looks good.

Thank you for getting me thinking in greater depth about this problem. I believe it's now resolved and thus I'll mark it solved. Of course, if it occurs again, I'll be red-faced.

    Thanks again.

Good news. Though I have never faced a stop 0x124 caused by a display driver; but possibilities are always there.

Let us know for any further issue.

    I will, thanks.

Did you have a chance to check out the nVidia link I posted? You'll find many others with the same problem and the same resolution. That's where I learned to roll back the driver software.

It's still working fine today. Thanks again.

Here's our method to rollback drivers: Device Manager - Roll Back Driver

But, rollback has its own limitations. Sometimes it needs to clean the entire driver up.

That's very similar to the nVidia routine that worked for me.

However, I have twin monitors and when I rolled back, nVidia put all my desktop icons on one monitor in a no-rhyme/no-reason fashion. I repositioned them, then restarted. Small irritant.

Still working okay with the old driver. I guess "new and improved" isn't.

For nvidia, the drivers after 314.22 (drivers including GeForce Experience) are all problematic. They should concentrate on it.
