    Random BSOD, bugcode_usb_driver

Cant seem to work this one out.

I keep getting bsod on my htpc.

Seems to happen at random times, watching live tv, recorded or playing music etc.

Bluescreenviewer shows some sort of usb issue. I unplugged usb hdd and keyboard but still random bsod.

    Appreciate any help.

    Probably caused by : usbehci.sys ( usbehci!EHCI_sMode_PollEndpointSlot+67 )

Try a Windows update to see if it finds an updated driver.

    Hi Markshr.

Update VIA Chipset from ECS Web Site > HDC-I2 (V1.0)
    Code:
VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller (Interface)

    Thanks Arc,

    I have installed as recommended

I have had this problem for a while, I have gone to the manufactures site before, but I think i updated all but the chipset for some reason.

    Fingers crossed.

I was watching live tv while another channel was being recording then.... bam.

    Sigh...

    Any ideas guys?

    Another SF Diagnostic file attached.

    Thanks.

Upload the list of all the third party drivers Using NirSoft DriverView :

    • Download and execute Driverview
    • View > Hide Microsoft Drivers
    • Edit > Select all
    • File > Save Selected Items
    • In the Save dialog, Set the path to desktop, Put "Driverview" in the name field, and save.
    • Zip the .txt file and upload it.
