Random BSOD dxgmm1.sys ntsokrnl.exe when playing games and normal use

Good day,

I and very new and sorry if I screw this post up.

I have been struggling with BSODs since I built this pc (dec 2013) and I am super frustrated. I am at the en of my rope and seriously feel like giving up.

i would greatly appreciate ANY help or advice that can make this easier for me. So thank you in advance :)

I get BSODs when playing most new games as well as normal pc browsing.

I have tried alot of solutions that I have found on here.

- memtest passed fine 9 passes (if i remember correctly)
- uninstall amd drivers and use driver sweeper and install newest drivers.. even the beta 14.1
- uninstalled daemon tools
- virus and malware scans.
- reseated graphics card and cables
- I have installed amd driver without catalyst however this makes my display wonky in terms of having a black border around windows and not being able to scale to my screen size
- updated bios and various other chipset drivers

I hope you guys can help and hopefully resolve it. this pc to me cost a buch of money and its so bad to see it not working properly.

anyway thank you again

Welcome to SF ifiwereamonster :) .

You seem to have tried anything already. You said you have updated the BIOS,
yet you have the first release, did you flash it back?
Which releases have you tired, if any?
Asus's webpage regarding your motherboard, B85-PLUS, lists seven new releases
since the initial 0309.

The most predominate driver across all of the 23 BugChecks is AMD's GPU driver
that being atikmdag.sys.
Have you tried running the system without the GPU (graphics card)?
Try using the integrated graphics and see if the BSOD's continue.
Please remove all and any of Asus's Utilities.
What releases of Catalys Control Center have you tried?
Is the GPU overclocked in any way shape or form?
What is the make, model and age of your PSU?
Fill out this form and post back the result:

Hi there

Thank you So much for the reply. I have removed the 1 RAM stick found that the System is running stable for +- 8hours without bsod. Seems like memtest lied to me (ran 9 passes on each stick and then on both and they passed :/)

So for now I will monitor the pc for another day or two and if its still stable I will sort it out.

I wanna punch myself in the face for not trying this at the VERY START.

I will let you know if I experience any errors again.

Thank you for your reply and time it is greatly appreciated! (annnd sorry if I wasted your time)
