Starting at the top where it says 6-6-6-18 make those numbers 9-9-9-24 then drop down to Dram Command Rate change that from 1T to 2T, set the target dram frequency to 1333MHz and set the voltage to 1.5V. That is the specs for your ram and is also the way your motherboard should have set it to begin with. Those are the only numbers you should have to deal with. When you do that save and exit. Assuming it boots, which it should, post screenshots of CPUz, the Memory tab and the SPD tab.

You're changing just the first 4 numbers from 6-6-6-18 to 9-9-9-24 and the command rate from 1T to 2T and setting the voltage to 1.5V not auto, Frequency to 1333. Don't worry about anything else.

Some problems. Target dram frequency can not be changed at all.
And options for DRAM Frequency are Auto, 928MHz, 1237MHz, 1547MHz and 1856MHz. Not 1333MHz.

That's crazy. Try auto and open cpuz and see what the frequency is on the memory tab. It will be half of what it is. Your ram should be running dual chanel so 1333 would be 667 (667 X 2 = 1333) If it does not set close, or sets it at what you had, try the 1237. At 1237 CPUZ memory tab should be 618 or close. see if either of those run any better.

I set in BIOS: 9-9-9-24, 2T, Voltage 1.5V and Frequency to Auto.

CPU-Z shows DRAM Frequency now 618.6 MHz. So it set it to 1237MHz, right?

Next I try cold startup, and hope not to see BSOD?

See if you still get bsods. If you do not, leave it there, if you do, try changing it to 1237. See if either of those stop it or at least make it better.

Did you try both settings? and is it any better, worse or the same?

EDIT: try setting the Dram voltage to 1.55V. It will not hurt it at all and please tell me your setting for the CPU northbridge. It may be listed as CPU NB. Also, please save me from re reading this thread, did you run memtest86+ for a full 8 passes and were there any errors?

kasotol, I have asked a couple of others to look into this thread. They are much more familiar with AMD systems than I am. I am pretty much an Intel guy. They are excellent with AMD and will be a great help. I will still be here and will help if/when you need me.

Looks like at least one of them is not around right now. But, take a read through this. It is the bios of your board and may tell you a few things. ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 & M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 Motherboards Review - Page 8

Also please look at option 2 of this tutorial and run sfc /scannow. (SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker) If you type it in the command prompt, notice the space between sfc and /. Click start, type cmd in the search box, right click the entry that appears and select run as administrator. then copy/paste sfc /scannow into the box and press enter. It is a system file checker and will scan system files and attempt to repair any missing or corrupted files. If it finds errors it cannot fix, reboot and run it again up to 3 times. The object is to have it say no integrity violations were found.
