BSOD 0x000000d1 0x0000003d
I'm having trouble tracking down the source of my problems here. I keep getting freezes accompanied by a loud annoying noise from the speakers, prompting me to shutdown manually, but occasionally getting a proper BSOD result.
I reformatted and reinstalled the OS first, I've been under too much stress to diagnose properly. After updating and getting my drive back in order, the problems persist. Though this suggests a hardware issue, I can't find any part to assign blame to. I ran a full memtest and came up clear. Long story short, I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the hardware RAM despite the somewhat random nature of the problem. Even IE likes to crash at random, but high end games might decide to run perfectly for hours.
I now suspect some random driver to be causing trouble. Researching the few BSOD codes I could extract suggest an update from Windows Update itself might be causing trouble, some had success reverting a USB driver. That... seems less likely, but I suppose it is possible.
Well, my head is not in the game so I figure I'll throw up some Diagnostic reports on here and see if anyone wants to lend a hand. I've yet to be steered wrong here, and just discussing it often pulls an idea from my own noggin.
SO: random game/browser crashes (app failure) or full freezes (requiring hard reboot) with occasional BSOD includeing error codes 0x0000003d and 0x000000d1
