BSODs, maybe only in FireFox. 2 previous posts and thought fixed

It has been a week since I had any problems but it is happening again, 2 in 2 days, thought it was resolved and it has been happening for about 2 months.

    1. Mouse freezing and a BSOD yesterday.
    2. Mouse freeze and no BSOD but a reboot to the screen offering safe boot mode options etc.
I have 2 previous posts here and really thought it was resolved.

This post 4 weeks ago and this 1 week ago.

My observation is that this ONLY HAPPENS in the Fire Fox browser, and on mouse movement.

I am in IE now (for some time) and have been in Windows Explorer (for hours) backing up and sorting stuff..

On my last BSOD post you will see I have done lots of suggested tests, memory CPU & graphics and all drivers were or have since been updated *.
    * My latest effort to find the source was was to roll back the video driver, to no avail.

New SF Diagnostic attached and Speccy here.

I am starting to believe it is a Fire Fox issue and that I will have to cease using this browser I have been accustomed to. I hope not and that this can be resolved.

If I can provide any other information, please just ask.

Just enabled Driver Verifier and will test RAM overnight with Memtest86+

Just disabled Driver Verifier as it seems to slow performance.

I have tested RAM overnight and for 6 hours yesterday with Memtest86+ and have no errors

I have been in IE and currently looking at Chrome but I do like my Fire Fox (used to it anyway) so believe I will go back and just test some more , waiting a BSOD....

I haven't had a BSOD yesterday or today but would appreciate an analysis of my last SF Diagnostic file attached above just to see what's happening.

I went back to Fire Fox a few minutes ago and noticed the mouse freezing a couple of time (no BSODs) as I was just wanting to check for BSODs.

I still would appreciate a quick look at my last SF Diagnostic file attached above :)

When the mouse froze I did a control/alt/delete to task manager to see what was running and I was very surprised to see FF using so much memory.

I have to ask, does this look normal, anyone?

Latest is a hardware issue. Driver Verifier is meant to make the system very slow and sluggish - its trying to force a BSOD and isolate the offending driver.

    Stress your hardware:
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

    Thanks again Golden.

BugCheck 124 again doesn't sound too good.

Yes I read elsewhere here that Driver Verifier makes the system very slow and sluggish, looking for the offending driver.

I did the FURMARK & Prime95 last about a week ago. I will try them again

I really thought the fix for me was to disable hardware acceleration in Fire Fox.

Anyone have a comment re above screen from Task Manager and the apparent high memory use in Fire Fox?

    Is yours a similar number?

OK, no BSODs for a couple of days. I have been in IE & Chrome (learning curve) and some ventures back to FF just to see if....

Ran FurMark again. Screens below. Are they OK?

Still running Prime95 again and really don't expect errors. Will run for extended time....

Asking again re the TASK MANAGER screen above (2nd entry).

Fire Fox seems to take a lot as per Task Manager.

    Is that right?

What is a normal memory usage in Task Manager?

    Still no BSODs experienced.

Just wonder if anyone would comment on screenies above please, just so I know.
    • Task Manager and apparent FireFox memory use: Is that high? Is yours comparable?
    • FurMark video results: Are they OK?
    Thanks

Your NVidia drive is a bit old, the latest is 332.21. You can get it here
Latest NVIDIA ForceWare Video Drivers Windows 7

The Furmark score look OK but what we look for is screen tears, anomalies, pixelating, etc.

I can't help with the FF issue, I don't use it.

    Thanks there Britton30.

I did role back the video driver while investigating and did think I'd put the latest back as below so I will Investigate further.

I am still in IE and looking for comment re FireFox/memory use in Task Manager, wonder if that is indeed normal?
