This may be a separate matter but some times the game freezes and all I hear is the high pitch sound. I am not able to do anything with the computer. Some times I get the BSOD shortly after. Other times I wait 10 minutes and the computer still does respond.

Sometime during the BSOD it says it has finished making the dump but it doesn't leave the screen.

When the game doesn't respond or the BSOD stays for a good 20 minutes I pull the power plug. That is not a good thing to do and on start up the PC makes a continuous beeping sound.

I think I may just have to stop playing to protect my PC.

OK, there were only two dumps in that last upload, one from yesterday and one from today.

The one one from yesterday is blaming the same wireless driver and your graphics driver, I'll post the details in a few.

The one from today is blaming an intel storage driver, those I may need to call in assistance on, but I haven't forgot you.

For the time being lets forget about that wireless driver since you already updated it.

This is a suggestion from one of our experts about the latest drivers.

    Arc said:
Uninstall your installed latest version of the display driver.

Then clean up any possible leftover.

Then install version 13.9 WHQL only.

Lately we have seen a lot of issues with the latest 13.12 WHQL AMD Catalyst.
I'll post you other dump in a minute.

It's an Intel Rapid storage driver, you can try updating it here,

I think installing the old video driver may have the fixed the BSOD.

Will test some more and hope to "mark as solved" in a couple days. :)

I didn't get the BSOD, I think, but the same issue happens where the game freezes.

This time the game froze and then I lost input signal to my monitor. The message on my monitor was that input signal was not compatible with this device. I may have got the BSOD but I couldn't see it.

One thing that was different this time was that my power button was responding like normal, I think. I was able to shut down my PC or it was the BSOD completing the dump.

There are two dumps in there from the 18th and the 19th, the last one is blaming this driver,

    Code:
    start end module name
    fffff880`01035000 fffff880`01189000 iaStor T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: iaStor.sys
        Image path: iaStor.sys
        Image name: iaStor.sys
        Timestamp: Mon Sep 13 18:23:32 2010 (4C8ECE94)
        CheckSum: 00073894
        ImageSize: 00154000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Try removing it following these instructions,

Remove Intel Rapid Storage Technology applications.

    1. Uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
    2. Uninstall the driver from device manager:
    - Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
    - In the "Computer Management" window that opens:
    - Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices.
    - Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
    - Select one Intel device item under it, right click, then uninstall.
    - Repeat the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
    3. Now restart the computer.
    4. Once booted, Windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.

    I have uninstalled the driver.

As an aside do you know what Intel Rapid Storage Technology does? When I bought the PC it came pre-installed. When I reinstalled windows I just installed it again. I am not sure if it serves any purpose.

Also I had another dump that I should have uploaded with version 3. I am not sure it was completed correctly by the PC though.

I'll be honest with you, all I know about IRST is what's here,

    Intel® Rapid Storage Technology

Those are still the same two dumps from the 18th & 19th.
