Seemingly random BSOD event

Hello. Here's my problem: Last week, I tried installing this VPN software following the suggestion of a friend. At the end of the installation process, my PC threw a BSOD, which mentioned something about my display driver. I figured it must have been clashing with either my display driver or another VPN software that's installed on my PC, so I thought I'd just uninstall it. Long story short, it caused several more PC crashes/BSODs before I finally managed to get rid of it by entering safe mode + disabling the service in msconfig (it crashed the PC if I tried to uninstall it without disabling the service).

Everything was okay after that, but now 1 week later my PC somehow had another BSOD event while I was away (the PC was active). Putting last week aside, I have not had a BSOD for at least a year, so I'm naturally a little worried, and would appreciate it if anyone could tell me the cause for my most recent BSOD. And since I'm already asking, it'd also be nice if I can know the actual reason behind the BSODs last week. Thanks in advance!

PS: I have followed the instructions and attached the zip file output by the SF Diagnostic Tool. Let me know if more information is needed.

3. Locate the .ZIP file created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.

By the way, after I posted here yesterday, there was another event... I was watching anime, and all of a sudden the video rendering became awful, then the monitor went into power saving mode. The playback could still be heard, but it was in extremely slow-motion. I'm beginning to suspect if my GPU is failing. I looked on the official AMD website for driver updates, but couldn't find any. Windows Update & Device Manager's 'Check for updates' also returned no results. I did find some here, but that's a third party site I'm not sure I should trust.

Don't ever use 3rd party driver detectors/downloaders unless we recommend them here.

I'll look at your dmp files now. Give me 30 mins please.

Huh

You mean the ATI/AMD Catalyst software? That's the driver? I thought it was some kind of useless 'Manage your hardware' program that they bundle with their GPUs. I was expecting .dll files or similar for driver updates. So in the future I'm supposed to just look for the newest Catalyst software that supports my card?

It includes the driver...I think you may get the option to just install the driver, not CC

Well, I've gotten the latest drivers now. Thank you so much for your assistance. I'll mark the thread as solved in hopes that the problem's been fixed...

I'll report back and mark unsolved if the problem occurs again, though. Is that fine with you/SF?

It doesn't seem to be solved.

I just had another BSOD reporting that "the video scheduler encountered a fatal error". This happened when I was just doing some very basic Internet browsing (no suspicious sites).

Update: 2 hours ago the display suddenly went off while browsing, with the monitor switching to Power Saving Mode. Now I'm really wondering if the GPU needs changing :/
