DRAM Memory Guide - Webopedia.com
Try running only one pair and see if the crashes occur. I would run with the UNbuffered pair.Buffered memory contains a buffer to assist the chipset deal with the large electrical load required when the system has a lot of memory. Much like registered modules, buffered modules are typically used in servers and other mission-critical systems where it is extremely important that the data is properly handled.
Unbuffered memory deals directly with the chipset controller with nothing in between as they communicate.
Thanks for code boxing the MGAdiag (however you did it is fine)
Steve: Don't worry about getting over to the other thread, whenever you get the chance...
You have enough members advising you and I think the bases are covered. hopefully it's the memory and the issue will be resolved with that change. Good luck and.....I'm out.
