Hello ddg5006. The readings you get with 4.20 are due to it not being able to recognize Haswell CPU properly. Try again with the 5.01 but don't press any buttons, it will start in its own and should run fine.
Forcing multi-thread mode always makes it lock up during the first test.
If you notice 4.20 also lists your CPU as an i7 32nm instead of the correct i5 22nm.
To better help us to help you would you please add your systems specs? Here's the correct way to do it. :SystemInfo See Your System Specs Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built. Very important
Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to the specs page in your profile from within the System Info app.
Your System Specs here.
After doing this your specs will be available in each of your posts.
Click on My system Specs in the lower left of this post to see how it should look.:)
Full instructions are in the tutorial.
Well i ran the test overnight with 4.20 and it came up clean with 16 passes. Does it matter that it wasn't reading my components correctly ?
I wouldn't trust it in your case, normally it's fine with earlier hardware.
Use the memtest86+ 5.01 version, let it start on its own, and see what results you get.
I thinking more and more that it's a faulty motherboard. After the ram tested clean from 4.20 (I will run ver 5 tonight) I did a clean install of windows 7. When installing the HD Graphics 4600 onboard drivers, the computer blue screened, memory management error code. What do you think ? i can upload the new dump, this is the first BSOD from the new installation of windows since this morning.
Damn, there is something seriously wrong here, even when i was running the diagnostic tool for upload here, it blue screened.
I think you should install SP1 at first.
I am going to request our activation and update expert to have a look why your update is failing.
Before installing SP1, what the dump told is meaningless.
And installing SP1 is the first step to troubleshoot your issue. Unfortunately there is no fix button. You have to go through a process.
You post a report following Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions
It will help to determine why SP1 is not getting installed. Later Noel will give you further steps.
