BSOD when plugging in flash drive (red herring?)
One of my customers reported that they plugged in a usb flash drive and the system blue screened. It took several restarts to get to a useable state. I checked the event log and took a look at the mini dump files and it looks to me like it might be a video or network driver issue (rather than a usb issue). I am hoping however that someone here will take a look and see what the logs tell you before I schedule time with the customer to try to resolve.
I scanned the system (and aforementioned flash drive for viruses - found nothing). The system for now however is stable again with no blue screens since last Friday.
The system is a Dell Precision Workstation T1650/Windows 7 Pro 64 bit/12 GB RAM/Sorry I don't have the processor but have to assume it's a 3rd Gen i7/Norton Internet Security/Dual monitors/ - please let me know if you need me to get other specs for you.
They run Solidworks 3D Cad software on this station.
I've attached the diagnostics file from the SF diagnostic tool.
I've also attached the mini dump files from the PC - just to be thorough :)
Thanks in advance for any insights.
