Sorry I made a mistake, it's not the boot option, it's the startup tab. Please disable all unnecessary programs except for your anti virus. The reason why the dump file wasn't saved was because you loaded the computer to a point before you even enabled driver verifier.
Can you enable Driver Verifier after you've disabled the startup programs.
Followed your instructions, disabled the last couple startup programs I had, I enabled driver verifier, and tried to boot, no good, then I tried safe mode, still no good, no option except to boot from last known good config. but when loading in safe mode, it would get hung up on classpnp.sys file, then reboot itself...does that mean it's that file?
classpnp.sys is the plug and play manager which manages all devices. That doesn't really help us.
Hmm. And no, it's definitely not that file. That is a critical Microsoft OS file that should never be modified or deleted. That is not the root cause, there is another driver that's causing problems.
Any more steps for me to try?
Disable Driver Verifier, then enable it again by following the instructions but this time when you enable the drivers make sure you don't select any drivers for Microsoft Cooperation, Unknown or Macrovision
Hmm, from my experience page faults are generally created by faulty RAM. I would highly recommend running memtest86 for at least 8 passes.
