How did you fix it?
How did you fix it?
I was trying to boot up using something with UEFI in it. (I'm using the Windows 8.1 Disk) I went into the BIOS after trying the first time and moved my ASUS disk drive to the front of the boot list. While looking at what I was originally trying to use, I couldn't figure out what it was, just that it had UEFI in the name, and the disk drive didnt have UEFI.
Just a general question. I installed all the updates successfully, just wondering what would be recommended to install next? In what order? Anything that should be installed first before anything else?
Are all your devices in device manager showing without a ?
You seem to be flying through a lot of stuff, make sure you keep checking windows update for more rounds of updates.
It might be useful to see how you disks are configured. Getting to the Computer Management or Disk Management snap-in might be different on Win 8, but I think you can figure it out if it is - you seem capable enough.
See: Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image
Please make sure that the Status column shows everything in between the parenthesis (Boot, Page file....)
I'll back out of the thread, you already have some very knowledgeable members helping you already.
BTW - you're doing great, it will go much faster if you slow down and get the base system stable with all Windows Updates applied before loading other software. Once the machine is behaving then install one thing at a time and see if you BSOD - no? Install another thing. This way you know immediately what is causing the BSOD (or at least contributing to the issue).
edit: I type too slow. I guess there weren't that many Windows Updates for 8.1 (40?)

Upon opening Device Manager I see this. I already went and opened them, and clicked Update Driver - Search online, it yielded no results because it said there was an issue.
Screenshot included.
@Slarty
Here's the requested SS of Disk Management
Your chipset driver should fix that,
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-Z87X-D3H (rev. 1.x)
Alright, Device Manager isn't showing anymore irregularities. Windows Update is completely up to date (no more updates left) Windows Update also installed the latest WHQL certified NVIDIA driver.
Anything left to do before I re-download Steam and test out some games?
Edit: In total there was about 43-44 Important updates and 1 Optional (My Printer) @Slarty
