Multiple Different BSODs Custom PC

As mohave says mate a 650 is pretty good for what you want and the only thing I would suggest is get a good brand it is worth the expense - me I really like the Corsair HX 650 and they do a HX750 too but in answer to your question no it will not harm the machine.

I have a brute Corsair HX 1050 in my Ivy only because it was on special offer but in reality I was going the HX 650 as a matter of course - plus it is semi modular so the cabling is neater.

The bottom line is just what are you planning to do with the machine?

He is Gaming on it Icit2lol I would look at an 850watt for that vidcard, From what I have been told it eats up power from a single rail PSU Dual rail and 750 would be ok but 850 would be better. IMO not gospel. I am not truly a big gamer but I am constantly fixing gaming rigs for customers and the no. 1 fallout is burned up memory, GPU or Chipset from a weak PSU.

Ok mate missed that and yes I am with you and yes I would go the Corsair HX 850 V2 gold and a better one I reckon is the Corsair AX 860 platinum but you are looking at a substantial price for the AX but I think it is the real deal. .

Hum tough one for me mate as I don't game at all the large PSU I bought only because it was too good to miss. Maybe it might be an idea to drop a thread in the Gaming section as they would be better of advising you on what to use.

Of course this does depend on the budget too as some of the upper end stuff is pretty pricey - well out here it is.

The PSU you linked to, the HX 850 is a good one. I used to have an AX 850 and it worked very well. In the past few years I have bought probably 8 PSUs, all Corsairs and have had no problem with them. Corsair support is pretty good too. Different Than most companies, if you have to RMA it, you will get a brand new one in return. Most companies will send you a refurbished one. The HX 850 will run well for you and the power supply will put out what it says it will and probably more, There are some good brands out there but Corsair and Seasonic are about the best. XFX, Antec are good too, but those are actually made by Seasonic as many of the Corsair's are. You won't go wrong with the one you chose. It is a version they quit making recently and now the 850 has been replaced by the 860i. It is just the same thing, pretty much but is a digital one that has software to see what is happening and control the fan speed, when it works. The software is real buggy. I have the AX 1200i now. I hate their software and would rather have the older models like the one you are looking at. As far as I'm concerned I would buy the one you linked to rather than the newer 860i. Its an excellent choice, will run anything you want and has good support. It is one of the better PSUs you can buy. I highly recommend it. I had the AX 850 which is the same PSU you linked to just fully modular. It ran my CPU and my 780 Classified both heavily overclocked and never even strained at it. My advice is buy that one, you won't be disappointed.
