BSOD randomly, although more often when using Vuze
Hi!
I have been receiving BSODs for a while now and finally decided to do something to stop it. What has made it difficult to troubleshoot is, when looking at the Mini-Dumps, there is a different error message each time. I have attached the ZIP file from DM Log collector as advised.
The BSOD happens randomly, even when I'm not doing anything. For example, I booted my machine up last night and when I woke up this morning, it had a BSOD. I didn't have anything unusual happening. I have noticed that it seems to happen more often when I am running Vuze, which makes me think there could be some hardware controller that isn't working right.
I should mention that this computer is my music workstation, meaning I have a ton of audio programs installed. I have a suspicion that maybe one of them is causing the problem.
What I have done so far:
1.) Since I noticed one of the BSOD reference Memory, I did a memory test, let it run a few passes and it came up with about 2 errors. I will probably replace my memory so hopefully those will go away. But since there are numerous other BSOD errors, I don't think this is the only problem.
2.) I tried running Driver Verifier but it kept crashing my Windows. I made sure to uncheck Driver Verifier's own drivers but it still kept crashing. I looked at the mini-dump after and it only referenced the Driver Verifier.
Here is some information on my hardware::
AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor 3.20 GHz
8GB RAM
Motherboard by Gigabyte Technology
Motherboard = GA-MA790GPT-UD3H
Hard dries = Hitachi HDS723015BLA642 ATA Device, ST1000DM003-9YN162 ATA Device
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
