BSOD Locale ID 2057 - How to solve?

    Hi everyone,

I have a new laptop (Lenovo Carbon X1 Thinkpad) that was purchased in January. In the last couple of weeks, I have had about 10 BSOD, all of which have the same error code (2057).

I am self-employed and based in Rome so dont have access to an IT helpdesk or an english speaking place to help me and I definitely don't have the expertise to even try to figure this one out! I am attaching the debug files so that maybe someone can have a look through them for me and see if there is an obvious solution?

Any help would be be greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    H

We need a bit more information.

    Please follow these instructions.

    1. Press Start
    2. Type msinfo32 and hit enter
    3. Once the window is open click file>save
    4. Then save the file to the desktop
    5. Zip up that file and upload it in your next reply.

It is caused by a Mobile Broadband Modem Filter Driver.

I normally recommend uninstalling these types of drivers. However if they are a necessity to you then you should update them because they are outdated. Once we have your msinfo32.nfo file then I will find out what it is and try and find you a reliable source for updating these drivers.

    Hi,

I attempted to update my mobile broadband driver, but I got another BSOD since then. Does anyone have any other information about what drivers I may need to update and the best way to do this?

    Thanks!

It's the same driver at fault. Is there a way to disconnect that whole component? It seems it's conflicting with something.
    Is it a necessity?

    Hi,

Thanks for your message. I don't use the mobile broadband at all so I'll check if there is a way to just totally disable it.

    Thanks again for your help!
