I tried doing update for network driver but it says i already have the latest version. Do you think BIOS needs update?
I tried doing update for network driver but it says i already have the latest version. Do you think BIOS needs update?
Also I just remembered few things:
-In early stages when i started getting BSOD's i had Razor surround installed so i uninstalled it to have BSOD free time for 3-4 weeks.
-Then when i tried to personalize my desktop themes using some open source software's (Don't remember the names now) I got frequent BSOD's, so stopped using them and sticked to basic windows 7 aero theme to have reduction in BSOD's by a large amount.
I am not sure if these things will help at all, but thought should mention them. Also most of the BSOD's happen while gaming and keep reoccurring for 3-4 times. But as it's a gaming desktop and am doing only that mostly, so kind of obvious to happen in those times. If you need any other details regarding any other software like anti virus or something else to do tell me i will try to provide as detailed info as much I can.
You can try running Furmark to see if your video card is failing.
Run it for around 30 minutes.
Follow these instructions.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
Ran Furmark for 30 mins, GPU stabilises at 85-86 c...
That's a bit hot but not too bad, it shouldn't cause any serious issues.
Is driver verifier still enabled? Upload any new dump files.
This is a tough one, lets see if we can find anything new.
I disabled driver verifier as it started causing frequent crashes as i said in my previous post's quoted below. Didn't enable after that.
Also i tried one more thing. Right after 2 months of purchasing this desktop I added a new 4 gb gskill ram. And i think since then BSOD's started. So i just removed that RAM and it's been fine for last 36 hours for now. Not even a single BSOD. Can it be it is causing some compatibility issue with my other 4gb ram from Corsair. For the note both of them are 1600 Mhz ram. And i did run memtest for 8 passes. What do you think?
Yes there can be compatibility issues with different RAM. It won't show up with errors though because it's not faulty.
I think you may have cracked it then.
So what should I do now? It will be such a waste of money....
Hmm, you could sell it or keep it. I'm sorry but it's a risk that sometimes we have to take.
It's been already 3 days and no sign of BSOD's. Am gonna wait for 1 more day if no BSOD's i will mark this thread solved. Thanxs for all the help.
