    BSOD While StandBy (Desktop Idle) err: ( 0x00000050 )


    I'm trying to help my friend which have some bluescreen on Idle.

    I did upgrade his MOBO BIOS for the last version.

    Like i said in the topic, it occur while on desktop on Idle.
    He also told me that this happen while listen to music. I did listen music on his computer but with no BSOD result. Only when i leave the computer alone for some time...

    Would be very appreciate if someone can help me out ! Thanks !

    Avast anti virus is causing issues, I suspect the reason it mainly does it when he's idle is because most AVs perform scans when the user is idle.

    I suggest removing Avast via control panel and installing Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes anti malware instead.

    When installing Malwarebytes make sure you untick the option that starts a free trial of malwarebytes pro as this can conflict with MSE and cause problems. The free version of Malwarebytes is just an on demand scanner so it shouldn't conflict
