Win 7 crashes and then reboots

I don't understand "uninstall GUID Partition Table Support Driver or update it to latest." I don't really want to delete it and then try and find it on the web somewhere. Please advise what you mean more clearly.

Did do step two, and when I finish this post, will let the machine rest as that is when it crashes. but I also need instructions on how to restart all or some of the services I stopped.

    thanks again,

    Mike

My system crashed after leaving it alone for 20 minutes. The only service I restarted was Bonjour.

    please advise,

That is what I mean. Either you have to uninstall it or update it.

Do you mean that you dont understand what it is?

It is usually a paragon thing. See the descriptions:

    Is it clear now?

Win 7 crashes and then reboots # 7

Yes, I don't understand how to uninstall a single file. I guess I could copy it to an external source and then delete it. I tried to find a way to update the file, and had zero success. It seems to me that it is the file that allows me to access My Book Duo which is a disk that is greater in size than Win 7 allows access to. With that in mind, I could try and figure out the Hitachi files I loaded to make the big drive work and if that is what you are suggesting, please let me know.

By copying it to a zip drive and then deleting the file, wouldn't the registry still be looking for the missing file and cause even more trouble?

    please advise,

    Mike

Win 7 crashes and then reboots #8

A light bulb appeared above my head and so I searched my system for "Hitachi" and found a program called, "Hitachi GPT Disk Manager". Was able to uninstall that and will be able to find it again should I need it later. Also checked C:\Windows\System32\drivers\gpt_loader.sys, it was still there, so I deleted it and now have restarted my machine and after a nap, see what happens. Hopefully.........

Well, so uninstalling Hitachi GPT Disk Manager and removing the gpt_loader has stabilized my system, CHEERS to you. Now, I need help in reconstructing my system. I'm only guessing, but I feel I should find an updated version of HGDM, load it and if all stays stable, begin enabling services and startups half at a time to see if there are any conflicts. I question which should be started first, and if half at a time is the approiate method of determining a conflict? Finally, what if the new HGDM dosen't work as hoped for?

    Again, THANKS!

The new HGDM will not work as hoped for.

About the startup programs, not a single one is needed there. We start antivirus alongwith windows for the security reason; and for laptops, the touchpad driver is also a must.

F.Lux, rainmeter, rocketdoc, etc customizing programs are also needs to run at startup, to keep the customization there.

Anything else is just your choice, but not needed. Because you can call any installed programs anytime, from start > all programs.

THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you!,

Everything seems to be working fine, haven't startedup or add services yet, but the HGDM from Paragon wasn't needed and so isn't loaded and I can still access My Book Duo and the 2 TB drive in my machine.

All is well and thanks again for sticking it out with me, I'm very happy,
