I will say that I've had cases where 0x124 bugchecks can be caused by drivers but it's very uncommon.

Ok, here's the latest stuff. The last BSOD dump is from a week or so ago. Just my luck, the one from yesterday didn't get recorded because I had just been resetting my paging file so it wasn't taking up so much space (11.9 GB or something, auto set) Happened while I had it disabled so it didn't save a dump file.

Something else I just found, I've got dump files from video driver crashes. This only seems to happen when I play a game called DayZ. I lose video, I get the little pop up in the bottom right corner saying the nvidia drivers crashed and restarted. I didn't realize windows saved dump files of those crashes. They're in the LiveKernelReports/WATCHDOG folder. Should I upload some or all of those? There are 11 of them.

Uploading those other files might help.

Altering the paging file is a bad idea...
I wouldn't recommend it.

It looks like drivers are probably causing these issues.


Enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier -Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning

Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point Manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

• If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
• If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

I have 12GB of RAM, I've just read all the time how you don't need a huge page file with plenty of RAM. What's the minimum you would recommend setting it with 12 Gigs of RAM? I kinda need the space since I'm on a SSD.
