Repeated BSoD, Inpage Kernel Data 0x0000007A
Okay, I've been trying to remedy this by inputting the error numbers into guides with...little to no success.
Sometime last week, following a system update, I noticed a rather pronounced uptick in BSoDs.
...and by pronounced uptick, I mean I went from seeing one maybe every couple of months to seeing multiple in a day, for several days on end.
In fact, after spending part of today with my laptop's HD detached as an external (both to scan for errors through another comp and backup materials just in case) I hooked it up around 10 PM tonight (EST)
It has since BSoDed on me several times in the space of three hours.
...suffice it to say, I'm getting a touch desperate.
I have seen guides that suggest this could be a hardware issue, as well as others saying it could be programming. I've already tried a system restore which...helped a little, but has still seen a few BSoDs.
So this is in hopes of being able to get a clear answer on if there's a definitely solution to this problem, or whether it's time to knuckle up and put down the money for a new HD or finally move to a new system (have had this laptop for around 3-4 years now.)
Very grateful for any assistance anyone can provide with this.
Thank you for your time.
