BSOD irql_not_less_or_equal while on google chrome

    Hello,

I'm having this issue when I browse with chrome (never use any browser, so any browser not tested yet) and when multiple tabs open in the same window that contain various videos/gifs/etc all of sudden put me on BSOD, really irritate me much. It happened since i installed new avira internet security suite, which I'm upgrading from old avira. Because I'm buying new license with new product and I installed Arc program to run game software. Never happened before, hoping to get help.

    Regards,
      My Computer

    Hi ninigiku.

Download and install Drivers for Atheros AR9485WB and Windows 7 ; following Driver Install - Device Manager

But that might not be enough, as I am suspecting that something else is is there that is influencing the network adversely; which is not caught by that crash dump. So we may need to observe the situation for a reasonable time after updating the driver.

Network crash continues even after updating the network driver. Nothing more is specified in the crash dump unfortunately.

Sometimes some antivirus programs may cause network blockage.
Uninstall Avira using Avira AntiVir Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Also a lot of ASUS bloatware are present there, which are often problematic. I'd recommend you to Clean Up Factory Bloatware, with a special reference to Point #13
    13. Consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is often better than getting a new computer considering how pre-installed bloatware can corrupt Windows 7 even if it's completely cleaned up.

    Hi Arc,
I removed Avira, now I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus and premium Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as you suggested. Honestly I hate re installing OS, so for now hopefully no other issue.

    It sounds good, mate. :)

You may follow the other steps of Clean Up Factory Bloatware because it is needed.
