BSOD/ PC Lockups when playing games, multiple errors
Hey guys I've been having an issue for about 2 months now, basically when I'm playing games (WoW / LoL / Titanfall) my PC will randomly freeze, then my monitor will just shutdown. I then have to manually shutdown my PC using the power button as it remains turned on even after the monitor shuts down.
On reboot I get an error saying "Display driver stopped responding but has recovered" and after checking the event viewer I have multiple errors before each unexpected shutdown. Also sometimes on reboot after 5 mins the PC will blue screen resulting in the same display driver error but it hasn't done that for a few weeks now.
Here are the errors that appear prior to the shutdown:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {C97FCC79-E628-407D-AE68-A06AD6D8B4D1}and APPID.
I figured it was a hardware issue but I found a work around where I could system restore back a few days then I'll have no problems until a few days into the future again, basically the crashes happen the same time every few days. Then I'd system restore again and get stuck in this vicious cycle of crashes while trying different solutions which have not worked as of yet.
I had no issues for about 3 weeks after the first few instances, then I was away for 5 days and when I returned the problems started again. I tried uninstalling my graphic drivers which again temporarily added a few days without issue (which started me on a system restore cycle). So I figured that since the errors seem to happen when the PC "catches up" to where I system restored, its a software issue rather than hardware. Also my card does not run hot, I have run CPU-Z to check temperatures and it's always running at normal temps and I have recently cleared the inside of all dust etc
Now today I noticed there was a windows update in the middle of the system restore cycle, so I uninstalled the updates to see if they caused the problem and everything worked fine for a while but then the crash happened again so I went back to a system restore - which fixed the problem for the rest of the day.
Then I logged on today and after about 5 minutes the system hangs when playing WoW (I should mention this problem has never happened when not playing a game, it has never stopped responding doing work / browsing the web etc). This is strange since it usually lasts 3-4 days before it hangs again and this time I have a new error:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xfffffa800450d010, 0xfffff88007159258, 0xffffffffc0000001, 0x0000000000000003).
I've uploaded the .dmp file produced after the recent crash (<1 hour ago) and one from 2 months ago which was one of the first crashes. I'm pretty stumped on what the issue is to be honest I've seen so many theories and potential solutions but the crashes are so unpredictable I have no clue where to begin.
I'm hoping you guys have some insight on the problem, sorry if this post is quite long winded I wanted to make sure I included as many details as possible.
Thank you in advance!
