BSOD Recently Started. System Not Saving Dump Files Though Activated

There was no beeping or anything when I tried to turn on. After I changed the voltage next to power plug on back of computer from 115 to 220, the system actually powered up, but monitors wouldn't come on. I was just trying to see if the whole power system might have failed. Put switch back to 115v, saw green light on power board flashing. After couple iterations of this process system finally powered on at 115v with monitors.

I'll run the suggested programs. Since I need to monitor them for overheating I'll have to do when in office on Tue (its my work computer). I did upgrade to Win 7 from Vista a few weeks ago.

I'll post back results Tue. Thanks much. BTW, got BSOD 2X times since posting message at 2:21pm today.

edwardd, if you can, please go into your BIOS and give us the readings for the +12V, +5V and +3.3V. The readings from BIOS will be the most accurate. I don't think it is a good idea to change the PSU to 220 Volts.

Couldn't really get in yesterday but then also realized BIOS may be out of date as I didn't check it when upgrading to Win 7 from Vista few weeks ago so did upgrade that today. It was woefully behind.

Started running suggested tests but I say my CPU get to 84C. I wasn't fully sure what constitutes "overheating" but read 80C somewhere. If that was too low, what should I look for as a temp to stop these tests?

12V: 11.40V
3.3V: 3.33V
5V: 5.04V

So as of now I'm not running any tests b/c of the 84C.

Your +12V is the bare minimum for ATX standards. ATX standards is +/- 5%. What it will do when put under stress may cause problems if it drops at all. As far as temps, if I knew what CPU and CPU cooler you had I may be able to help. That is another reason your system specs are important, and in as much detail as possible. What brand and wattage is your PSU and what model?

Core Temp will read the cores and temps as well as give you the max CPU core temps. TJ Max is 100 on your CPU, but I would keep it below 85C. The TJ Max is the temp at which the CPU will begin shut down to protect itself and software readings are not exact. I would also check you CPU cooler mount and paste. Clean the old paste and apply ne paste if necessary. If you have a hardware problem, we need to be able to run these tests to find out which component is defective. You can go broke replacing 1 piece at a time to find out.

Update: Still trying to complete running of these. Did the stress test yesterday and was going to do others today but system shut down again. Will post all results once I get it up again and complete tests. Thanks.

As far as posting back these results I'm not clear if there is a specific format or output I should be posting. I ran all tests and there were not any failures anywhere.

Ugh, screenshots will be hard as the system was most often rebooted for each of these tests. Aside from those that just gave straight pass/fail, I thought there was going to be a way to output the last info from the software when needed.
