    Hi Thedoctor44

Many thanks for picking up my post and apologies I havent replied. I didn't see your reply and as my laptop is blue screening, freezing and other weird and wonderful stuff now, I seem to be spending more time re-doing my work than anything else. Ive been tryin gto update the drivers as per the 'my dell' console, but this may be why it's starting to play up as they don't give a sequence in which you should load the drivers (It says 44 out of date drivers, which I thought my system was set to update these as and when they came up!).
I will try and work through your instructions later.
Thanks again for your help, it is VERY much appreciated

    kind regards

    Julie

I have printed off your instructions and started to proceed, but have come across a problem

My laptop does not have a file in the windows folder c:/windows/memory.dmp. I've searched the whole c drive for *.dmp files and only came up with those I have already sent and a mini dump file, but that is dated 18/5.
I read in the link for BSOD that if you have 2 gb or more to download a file, which I have now done. Waiting for next BSOD.... it shouldnt be long!
    Thanks again

The directory C:/Windows/memory.dmp isn't a folder it's a Kernel Memory Dump, make sure your dump files are set to it as we cannot properly analyse 0x101 bugchecks with Small Memory Dumps.

I've found the file and have been trying to upload but it keeps 'connection to server reset'. Could this be the size of the file? I have zipped it down to 194mb?

I've said before, you need to upload it to a file sharing site like OneDrive then post the download link.

Not the bugcheck I was hoping for to be honest, it's a 0x116 we've got at the moment, It's alright though.

    Code:
    BugCheck 116, {fffffa800ae98390, fffff8800f57f034, 0, d}

*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
    Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+153034 )
This bugcheck indicates an attempt to reset the display within the allocated time interval had failed.
This is mainly caused by bad display drivers or a faulty graphics card.

    Are you using a laptop?
If so then remove all Nvidia software, then go to Windows Update and install the display driver from there.

    Code:
    6: kd> lmvm nvlddmkm
    start end module name

Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes

       Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

I'm seeing your Trusteer Ltd. Rapport Security software driver being loaded and unloaded multiple times, remove the driver completely.

    Code:
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for RapportKE64.sys
Another Trusteer driver, I would remove all Trusteer software.

Your NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver is also causing issues, I don't believe this driver is necessary so I would remove it completely, it has been known to cause BSODs.

    Code:
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nusb3xhc.sys
As always, Intel Rapid Storage Technology has been found...

    Code:
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for iaStor.sys
This software has quite the reputation for causing issues.

Uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.

    1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
    2. It will open the "computer management" window.
    3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
    4. Expand "Disc Drives" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
    5. Select one item under it, right click, uninstall.
    6. Continue the process for all items under "Disc Drives"
    7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate system driver, msahci.sys.

Well you also appear to have Norton installed which has quite the reputation for causing issues, it also will conflict with any other anti virus.

    Code:
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Ironx64.SYS
Use the uninstall tool to remove all Norton software.

    https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/...rProfile_en_us

Lastly I see your Intel® Centrino® Bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed Virtual Adapter driver being flagged.

    Code:
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for AMPPAL.sys
You could try an update here.

    Intel® Wi-Fi Products — How to install Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® technology

    Code:

I did have a BSOD yesterday before I sent you the dump file, so I was surprised that the dump file was a date from the day before. Ha, I like your curiosity got the better of you! I have started the list of things to do from your post and will run a stress test later.
Yes it is a laptop (or as they called it a desktop replacement, due to size I think) and it runs hot most of the time. I can't remember if it used to run hot or not, but the fan is on pretty much within a few mins of start up and the laptop does get very hot.
Where do I find ..."NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver" to remove it?

Thanks again for all your help. Im looking forward to seeing my laptop running more efficient!
