    recurrent BSOD after launching games...

    Hello :)

I come to you because i remarked that my PC cant run games anymore : each time i launch a game, after a few minutes, the screen blacks out and it freezes like this... the fan seems to heat a lot during the game.

i used to play those games without any problems, not long ago (january)...

so i used the windows kit to analyze a crash dump :

    Code:

Hi passitox and welcome to Seven Forums.

0x116 bugchecks aren't like any other bugchecks in a sense that they are only caused because the graphics driver and video card became unresponsive, Windows tries to reset them and if they don't respond then a bugcheck is initiated.
If they do respond your screen will flicker and a message will appear saying something along the lines of "An attempt to reset the display driver was successful".

At the moment it sounds like your GPU is failing, lets run a test.

Stress test your graphics card with Furmark

I recommend running it for around 30 minutes

       Warning

Furmark will increase the temperature of your GPU rapidly so keep and eye on your temperatures

    Post back the result.

    Hi,

i cleaned the fans (hardcore task on a acer all in one pc), and it seems to be ok now, i played for a long time without any bsod ... the problem was probably this... but it wasnt very dirty so i dont understand how a few dusts can cause this...
