Instant BSOD: Can not boot from HDD: Command Prompt not Helping

This is my first post here, but I have found a wealth of info over the past few days from here. Than you for that. However, my problem doesn't end where others say "SOLVED".

The jist of it:
My computer is stuck in a loop. Start windows normally, safe start, neither works. The start gets interrupted by the BSOD and the process starts over. In order for me to get to System Recovery, I have to boot from my USB Flash. I have ran the repair over and over, easily over 20 times, with no result. I would get BSOD from memory issues every second or so repair attempt. I performed the memory test (memtest86) and have found that one of my memory sticks is faulty. Now there is no BSOD from the repair. I am only running on one 4gb 1866 stick now.

So then I started using the command prompt, particularly the chkdsk d:/f and I always get the same result now. I figured that that route was a dead end. I went back to the safe start (from the HDD) to see where it stops loading. I tried renaming as well as deleted the DRIVER is stops at, but with no luck.


I just purchased this to take my files off, but I won't get it till maybe Wednesday or Thursday if I'm lucky.

Thanks for that. Sadly the only other drive I have is my new SSD 64gb. I should be able to copy them over with a second flash drive. It will take a little *cough* longer since is a 16g.

I'm embarrassed (not at all) to say that I still don't have a cd/dvd drive so I will use the first flash drive for Ubuntu. Or I can get a dirt cheap 4gb for booting U and W7 recovery, and have two 32gb flash drives! Brilliance I say!

I finally got my second terrabyte HDD. I am moving my files, no programs, over to it now. My SSD is also in, but I need my computer fixed first.

Now I don't mind getting reckless with the repair. I would rather not re-install W7 as I do not have a key. A friend of mine installed it for me.

Thanks ICit. I have to install Ubuntu in order to download wine in order to run Speccy. I did test it out on the laptop though. It's a cool little tool. I am doing all of this now.

When that gets through, I'll move onto to the rest of your post.

As for the windows, it was an authentic disk. I know that for a fact. I have no clue where the key came from. I have a custom built rig.

I am having issues downloading wine, so I booting back into windows to the recovery screen. I got to the repair screen so much faster than before. There was no loading like before. It was instant. I ran another repair, and will try to restart in safe mode.

EDIT:
Well that went no where.

Ubuntu will not boot on its own even though I installed it. None of the fixes work. I have to keep loading into the trial which i believe is why I can't download Wine. Without Wine (emulator) I can't get Speccy...

The third Ubuntu install attempt worked. Wine went on smoothly afterwards. However it isn't pulling any info.
